Exams Coordinator
About the role
The Exams Coordinator (EC) is responsible for the logistic arrangements for all students to write their midterm and final exams both on campus and at a distance worldwide. The EC supervises invigilators; liaises with program faculty, program heads, managers, Accessibility Services, student support staff and external agencies across multiple program areas. The EC develops and maintains appropriate processes and procedures; manages finances; provides statistical information. The EC ensures all students write their exams under similar conditions and expedites examination papers to and from invigilators, and instructors for marking. The EC works with a high level of accuracy, confidentiality and customer service.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or certificate in Office Administration plus a minimum of three (3) years of administrative experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of RRU academic programs and services or relevant experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, to take initiative when and where appropriate, and to work well under pressure
- Strong computer skills, with demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Exceptional administrative support skills including the ability to work independently, perform well under pressure and deal effectively with non-routine matters. Take responsibility, display initiative, and problem solve while maintaining a high level of service; use sound judgment, diplomacy, and tact.
- Ability to plan and coordinate complex projects effectively using effective time management and creative problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer service focus when dealing with all internal and external clients (students, faculty, RRU staff, external exam sites, invigilators, etc.) and a commitment to service excellence
- Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask effectively and efficiently
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of protected data
- Demonstrate effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines, including multiple deadlines.
- Proven ability to use good judgement, solve problems and remain calm in a demanding workplace environment.
- Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
- Demonstrated excellent human relations skills, including effective listening and conflict resolution to work effectively with a diverse population.
- Critical thinking skills and accuracy are key to the performance of the duties of this position.
- Ability to work in and promote a positive team environment.
- Conflict resolution skills and experience.
Additional Information
This is a regular, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. This position has been evaluated at ADM-C with a salary range of $55,202 (minimum) to $64,846 (midpoint) to $74,490 (maximum) per annum. Employment offers will normally be made between the minimum and midpoint of the range and are determined by knowledge, experience and internal equity.
