Job Overview Responsible for serving as the primary liaison between manufacturing operations and the SAP implementation team to ensure industry-specific requirements, compliance needs, and best practices are embedded into the new ERP solution. Responsible for collaborating cross functionally and overseeing SAP manufacturing operations after Project Go Live.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end knowledge of food manufacturing processes, including production planning, shop floor operations, quality management, supply chain, and compliance.
- Translate business needs into SAP S/4HANA requirements, ensuring alignment with food industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in fit-to-standard workshops to identify gaps and assess impacts of required changes.
- Develop and review test cases for manufacturing, quality, and compliance scenarios.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and confirm system outputs meet real-world manufacturing needs.
- Contribute to cutover planning and go-live readiness for manufacturing processes.

- Act as a knowledge bridge, explaining SAP capabilities in clear, practical terms for business users.
- Provide input into training materials and SOP updates to ensure usability for manufacturing teams.
- Support hypercare activities post–go-live by validating production issues, escalating defects, and recommending improvements
- Overseeing day-to-day SAP operations, ensuring system functionality and timely resolution of issues.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for SAP-related escalations beyond site-level Super Users.
- Monitor and maintain KPI reporting within SAP, ensuring data accuracy for metrics such as efficiency, waste, and overpack.
- Maintain and update SAP process documentation and provide ongoing training and support to operations teams.
Recipe For Success
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in food manufacturing operations, with cross-functional exposure (production, quality, supply chain, compliance).
- Strong understanding of food industry regulatory and compliance requirements.
- 3-5 years Experience in guiding organizations through ERP transitions, minimizing resistance, and fostering adoption. Skilled at translating technical concepts into clear, actionable language for business users.
- Deep understanding of ERP platforms (SAP S/4HANA and others such as Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics), including modules, database structures, and integration capabilities. Certifications from major ERP vendors are an asset.
- Ability to manage large-scale data migration from legacy systems and ensure seamless integration between ERP and other factory systems or equipment.
- Ability to analyze complex data and processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements. Capable of measuring success and ROI of ERP implementations.
