  • Pay: $22.50 per hour/$23.96 per hour / +Shift Premiums for working overnight

Overview:

The Facility Fuel Farm Maintenance Operator is responsible for performing periodic maintenance and inspections on filters, pumps, valves, tanks, pressure controls, metering and gauging equipment, and company vehicles. You will be required to maintain a safe and secure work environment, in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures… so that, we provide our customers and stakeholders “Best-in-Class” service.

Main accountabilities include:

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility assets such as pumps, valves, vessels, hydrant pits, gauges, switches, motors, lights, heaters, meters, hoses, hydrant vehicles, etc.

  • Diagnose problems using test equipment, data analysis, equipment history, manufacturer specifications, industry-related standards and blueprints.

  • Obtains replacement parts, installing and/or making repairs as required.

  • Confers with Supervisor for complex repairs, which require direction or approval for ordering parts.

  • Completes work orders and provides status on any “open” work orders.

  • Performs required daily, weekly and monthly petroleum product log entries of fuel transactions, quality control, and maintenance.

  • Performs preventative maintenance checks of equipment at fuel storage facilities/systems.

  • Performs routine and periodic inspections in compliance with company, customer, government and industry standards.

  • Transfer products and monitor storage tanks, pipelines and related equipment to ensure that they are in good working order to prevent spills, releases, overfills and product contamination.

  • Conduct all work in a safe fashion by adhering to all company, customer, industry, local, provincial, and federal safe work policies/procedures.

  • To comply with all Regulations as well as local Airport Authorities.

  • Safeguard the health, safety security and welfare of staff, customers and other visitors as required in full compliance with the Company’s Health & Safety Policy.

  • Ensure tasks are performed in accordance with Company and Airline specific procedures and policies.

  • Required to attend the mandatory training imposed by the Company and Airlines (as per role).

  • Ensure no Company property abuse occurs.

  • Ensure the safe and secure operations, in accordance with the highest possible standards of health, safety, security and all government statutory requirements.

  • Able to meet the company’s attendance standards.

  • Overtime as required.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and legally able to work in Canada.

  • Must have valid Driver’s license and attain an airside driver's license (Company will assist)

  • Well organized with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, able to work on their own initiative to specific deadlines, have the ability to recognize and deal with challenges promptly and efficiently.

  • Must be flexible to adapt to changing demands/circumstances/weather conditions – and available to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.

  • Must be able to work outside in all kinds of weather.

  • Must be able to lift up to 70lbs when required.

  • Must be able to obtain and hold all required security clearances. (Company will assist)

  • Good communication skills, verbal and written.

  • Computer literate with knowledge of Basic Microsoft Word and Excel.
