Accountabilities

In this role, you will support regional and global HR operations by managing employee lifecycle activities, advising stakeholders, and improving processes. You will work independently while collaborating with international teams to ensure compliance, efficiency, and a high-quality experience for clients and professionals. Serve as a regional HR expert, supporting employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, employee changes, and offboarding activities. Provide guidance on Canadian employment practices, compliance requirements, benefits, payroll processes, and HR-related matters. Manage relationships with local HR service providers, benefits partners, payroll providers, and external advisors. Support customer-facing teams by providing HR expertise that strengthens client relationships and business growth. Handle employee and client inquiries, coordinating with internal teams to resolve complex HR matters effectively. Maintain accurate employee and professional records across internal systems and vendor platforms. Lead compliance initiatives and HR projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Identify opportunities to improve workflows through automation, AI-enabled solutions, and operational enhancements. Analyze challenges, develop creative solutions, and proactively prevent errors while ensuring regulatory compliance. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with professionalism and discretion.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is an experienced HR professional with strong knowledge of Canadian employment practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a remote, international environment. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, International Business, Accounting, Law, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in an HR Specialist, HR Generalist, or HR Business Partner role. Strong understanding of HR practices, policies, procedures, and Canadian employment legislation. Experience supporting employee lifecycle processes and ensuring compliance with local regulations. Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced and evolving environment. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and develop practical solutions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French, including professional fluency. Experience collaborating with international teams and working across diverse cultures and time zones. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and customer-service mindset. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint. Experience using AI tools to improve productivity, automate workflows, and enhance HR operations. Ability to work flexible hours when required to support global stakeholders.
