Class 4 Driver - Casual (Lower Mainland Area)
Take a Hike Foundation is seeking a Class 4 Driver (casual) on an on-call basis.
SUMMARY:
We are seeking professional driver interested in joining a rewarding venture. This position involves providing transportation for our programs located in Vancouver, Burnaby, West Vancouver, Delta and Coquitlam.
DAYS/HOURS:
- Hours are typically 9:00 am - 3:30pm throughout the school year (September - June).
- Regular shifts are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays with supplementary shifts occasionally on Mondays & Fridays.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Transport students to the destination chosen for that day
- Ensure safe operation of the vehicle including proper CVSE inspections pre and post trip
- Keep detailed records of vehicle inspections and hours of operation according to Transport Canada guidelines.
- Report any maintenance that needs to occur
- Ensure bus is fueled and clean, ready for the next group of students
REQUIREMENTS:
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Class 4 Driver's license in good standing
- Clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector search
TERMS & COMPENSATION:
- The pay would be $23-$25/hour depending on experience level.
- Please note that we follow the school year calendar - 2 weeks off at Christmas, 2 weeks off in March for Spring break, and July and August off for Summer break.
