About the role
Job Description Role: We have an immediate opening for a Warehouse Worker in our Saskatoon Branch . Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this position will perform all warehouse duties. This role is a permanent, full time position.
Responsibilities Responsibilities:
- Keeping the warehouse organized and maintaining inventory controls
- Processing incoming and outgoing materials
- Conducting inventory checks and providing reports to Warehouse Manager
- Maintaining rolling inventory of continuous jobs per company policy and procedure
- Performing a variety of material movement tasks for order filling, receiving and loading/unloading
- Following processes to ensure error-free shipping and receiving
- Maintain a professional demeanor
- Championing safety standards
- Providing superior customer service
- Working with hand tools, electric tools and ladders
- Regular interaction with warehouse staff, construction Project Managers, customers other trades and safety personnel
- Other duties, as assigned
Skills:
- Attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Possessing resourcefulness, integrity, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a team environment
- Application of general knowledge of industry standards, company policies, and procedures
- Knowledge of overhead doors, sectional, rolling steel, high speed or specialty doors would be considered an asset
Qualifications Qualifications:
- Completion of High School
- Experience in a relevant trade or position is required 3 years to less than 5 years (for example, construction, welding, millwright, electrical, warehouse)
- Exposure to warehouse environment would be beneficial
- Some experience with customer service would be an asset
- Possess valid driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract
- Any relevant safety training or tickets preferred or willingness to obtain (WHMIS, Fall protection, First Aid, etc.)
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
- Lifting, pulling, climbing, standing, sitting, lying down, squatting and kneeling and managing equipment and tools required
- Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements including background check, drug, alcohol and health assessment
- New hire candidates will be required to provide a current Driver's Abstract at their own cost
