Posting Overview:
Reporting to the Principal, the Library Supervisor will supervise the operation of the school library, develop, organize and maintain library collections and provide advisory services for users.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Minimum post secondary education (diploma/degree); Library discipline is mandatory.
Other Key Skills & Knowledge:

Thorough knowledge and understanding of library practices and procedures;

Ability to effectively supervise, operate and maintain the school library, assist staff and students in all areas of providing library services (i.e. reference, technical, circulation services);

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with students and staff;

Supervision of students in a library or similar setting;

Positive interaction as part of a school team;

Excellent leadership, organization and administrative skills to ensure the effective operation of the school library;

Proficiency with computers (i.e. Follett Library System, Internet, etc.);

Experience supervising the operation of a library is required.
Position Effective Date & Length:
Permanent CUPE, 10 month, 35 hours/week
Level 5 - $31.64/hour - $33.39/hour
