Job Overview:
To cover designated territory developing potential customers and maintaining existing customers at projected sales levels.
Access to a vehicle is required due to the extensive travel to key customers and accounts in assigned territory (Gatineau, QC).
Job Type: This is a 12 month contract.
Job Responsibilities:
Time and territory management to accomplish daily, weekly and monthly sales goals including defining market demographics, competitor analysis, prospecting new business and existing account knowledge. Participate with UNFI Sales team to effectively maintain existing accounts, develop new business and address operational issues. Provide accurate and complete sales reports to Sales Manager in a timely manner. Submit appropriate and timely account information for all new and existing accounts for input into the UNFI information system. Participate in continuing education programs regarding company products, services and industry compliances. Document and resolve customer complaints. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Post-Secondary education and/or equivalent related experience and training. Valid G licence or Class 5 driver’s licence or equivalent required
Required Knowledge:
Knowledge of Sales Understanding of related computer applications (Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook)
Experience:
Previous sales experience (preferably in a B2B capacity) Previous experience in organic/natural Consumer Packaged Goods sales is an asset Computer experience preferred (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
Skills & Abilities:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Goal oriented self-starter with high energy level and competitive spirit Ability to travel extensively throughout assigned area
Work Environment:
Onsite Role:
This position requires the associate to perform all duties at one of our UNFI locations, such as a customer/account, distribution center or office.
Travel (major):
Travel is required up to 100% for this position.

UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Actual Pay, where applicable, will depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements.
