About The Opportunity
The Research Associate contributes to particular clinical research studies in addition to the overall research program and mandate of the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences by supporting study administration and other activities which may include but are not limited to: preparing research proposal drafts and associated budgets, undertaking literature reviews, searching for funding opportunities, preparing grant submissions, drafting reports and manuscripts, and assisting with department research events and communications.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
Bachelor’s degree in a health sciences or social sciences discipline (e.g. epidemiology, community/public health, biostatistics or health economics) CCRP or CCRA an asset Medical Terminology course preferred Current registration with the relevant professional healthcare licensing organization desirable Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, email and internet Proficiency in qualitative analysis software package an asset Proficiency in reference manager program (ProCite) an asset Familiarity with health records Strong organizational and communication skills Strong report writing skills Effective interpersonal, communication and teaching skills Demonstrated time management and organizational skills Effective research and analytical thinking skills Strong negotiation, conflict resolution and rapport-building skills Ability to work well independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team environment Minimum of two years’ research experience Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Long assignment full-time position; 75 hours biweekly Approximately 12 months
Compensation And Benefits
$29.87 - $37.34 hourly
Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which include health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
