Organization: Champak Magazine – Delhi Press About Champak Champak, India’s most loved children’s magazine, has been inspiring and entertaining young readers for generations. As we continue to grow our print and digital reach, we are looking for a Subscription Manager who can lead efforts to expand our subscriber base and strengthen reader engagement.

Role Overview The Subscription Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to acquire, retain, and engage magazine subscribers. This includes managing subscription operations, coordinating with sales, marketing, and distribution teams, and ensuring a smooth experience for our readers across print and digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Subscription Growth:Develop and implement plans to increase individual and institutional (schools, libraries, retailers) subscriptions.
  • Tele-calling Team Management: Lead and motivate the tele-calling team to achieve individual and team targets.Provide training and support to enhance the team's performance. Regularly evaluate the team's performance and implement improvement plans as needed.
  • Retention & Engagement:Create loyalty and renewal programs to retain existing subscribers.
  • Marketing & Campaigns:Work with the marketing manager to design and run promotional campaigns (emailers, social media, partnerships, events).
  • Operations & Database Management:Maintain accurate subscription records, track payments, dispatch, renewals, and ensure timely delivery of issues.
  • Customer Support:Handle subscriber queries, complaints, and feedback in coordination with the operations and dispatch teams.
  • Reporting & Analysis:Prepare daily, monthly, weekly reports on subscriber trends, campaign performance, and renewal metrics.
  • Collaboration:Own the working with editorial, marketing, and distribution departments to align subscription offers with content and campaign calendars.
  • Institutional and bulk orders- Schools, Corporates, and Government: Lead the efforts for bulk subscription sales with schools, colleges, and other institutions

Bulk subscription orders from central and state government ministries and departments for public libraries and other social causes

Desired Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related fields.
  • 3–6 years of experience in subscription management, circulation, or customer retention, preferably in publishing or media.
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems, data analytics, and Excel.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to propose and execute reader engagement ideas.
