About the role

Broking Operations Team

The Systems & Training Support Specialist’s role is to support the firm’s broker management system (Applied Epic) and related technologies. Working in close collaboration with the Broking Operations team, this role focuses on the delivery of systems training and the execution of operational process improvements. This individual is a systems champion, responsible for empowering employees through hands-on training, support and optimization of broking workflows.

Role Description

Key Accountabilities

  • Deliver training to new and existing employees on Applied EPIC, Indio, CSR24 and related systems, including formal training programs, one-on-one sessions and ad-hoc support
  • Provide frontline support for system-related inquiries and troubleshooting
  • Manage data configuration updates and system settings in Applied EPIC and associated platforms
  • Conduct routine audits to assess compliance, data integrity, and workflow consistency across the team
  • Support the rollout of new technology tools, add-ons and enhancements within the broking system environment
  • Lead or support work groups and committees aimed at developing and refining operational processes and training programs
  • Contribute to operational projects within the Broking Operations team with a focus on systems enablement and adoption
  • Collaborate with the Training & Development Specialist on training strategy, content development and continuous improvement
  • Investigate and implement process and workflow improvements with the goal of finding efficiencies and enhancements
  • Assist with the integration of AI tools and systems as they relate to broking operations and system optimization
  • Provide training and support for insurer portals and third-party platforms, including but not limited to CGI and DASH
  • Travel to regional offices as needed to support in-person training and implementation

Experience Requirements

  • Proven experience in training, systems support or adult learning and development capacity

  • Strong knowledge of Applied EPIC is required, experience with Indio and CSR24 are considered an asset

  • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to deliver clear and engaging training in person and virtually

  • Comfortable working with multimedia training tools and e-learning platforms

  • Experience in the insurance industry and familiarity with broker management systems

  • Highly organized, analytical, and solutions-oriented with a collaborative approach to problem-solving

  • Willingness to travel occasionally to branch offices to support key training and system initiatives
