About the role
This is a Full Time Permanent Position.
The role is based at Maxx Head Office in Edmonton, Alberta with travel to Maxx’s project sites across Canada as needed.
###Duties and Responsibilities
-Short Term Planning
-
Develop short term (1 to 4 week) Division work plans using Microsoft Project, incorporating staff, equipment, and logistics.

Define project scopes, objectives, risks, assumptions, staffing levels, roles and responsibilities, milestones, and deliverables. -Project Follow-Up and Reporting

Conduct follow-up with foremen to ensure projects are completed on time and budget.

Report to the client on project performance as agreed to in the project planning meeting.

Communicate project status on a weekly basis to the Maxx Division Manager (overtime, rain days, etc.). -Liaison and Coordination
-
Act as the Division contact to all other departments for short term planning issues, resource availability, and updates/progress reports.

Work with other division Project Managers to share resources, bundle and prioritize work. -Resource Management

Prepare a rolling 3-month staff and equipment plan (updated monthly) to ensure Division readiness.

Effectively manage all resources (people, financial, and equipment) to ensure maximum efficiency in planning, forecasting, and allocation.

Utilize subcontracting strategies to ensure required resources are available to complete the work as per the plans. -Cost Estimation and Proposal Preparation

Prepare cost estimates for all jobs within the Division (includes all RFP & RFQ).

Review tender documents, estimates, and preparation of proposals. -Site Requirements and Analysis

Understand complete site access requirements (PPE, Safety Training, D&A testing, etc.).

Conduct cost/benefit analysis and margin estimations to determine project success parameters. -Client and Contractor Management
-
Manage client/contractor site meetings, RFI’s, change orders, invoices, and document control processes. -HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment)

Identify, communicate, monitor, and maintain project HSE expectations and deliverables.

Provide staffing plans that adhere to Maxx’s “hours of work” protocols.
