The Head of IoT and Physical AI architecture will lead the product development of IoT and Edge AI/Physical AI practice. This is a strategic leadership role focused on shaping the future of connected intelligence and driving innovation at scale.

The Head of IoT and Physical AI Architecture will spearhead the expansion of NTT’s IoT and Edge AI/Physical AI capabilities, positioning us as a global leader in technology consulting and managed services. This resource will define architectural vision, identify emerging technology trends, and translate them into transformative solutions that deliver measurable business impact across industries.

In this job, you will:

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the IoT & Edge AI/Physical AI Architecture Strategy – Drive innovation and set the technical direction for next-generation IoT and Edge AI solutions.
• Shape Industry Transformation – Assess technology trends and their impact on sectors such as manufacturing, healthcare, and smart infrastructure.
• Bridge Research and Real-World Applications – Convert cutting-edge academic research into practical solutions, proofs of concept, and market-ready products.
• Influence Global Technology Roadmaps – Identify breakthrough ideas and technologies that can redefine industry standards.
• Support Client Discussions- Demonstrate expertise and position NTT Data as an innovator and leader in IoT, Edge AI/Physical AI
• Fosters collaboration among cross functional teams and empowers them to work cohesively, communicate transparently, and achieve collective goals.
• Provides expert guidance on technical architecture, software development best practices, and emerging technologies.
• Promotes a culture of innovation by encouraging teams to explore new ideas, experiment with technologies, and implement improvements to enhance service quality, user experience, and efficiency.
• Defines and tracks key performance metrics related to service development and delivery.
• Develops and manages the budget for the relevant service/product development portfolio.

Knowledge and Attributes:

• Deep Expertise in IoT, Edge Computing, and Edge AI solution design, development, and deployment.
• Proven Leadership in driving complex architecture initiatives and guiding cross-functional teams.
• Experience Translating Research into Innovation – Proven ability to turn academic insights into commercially viable solutions.
• Visionary Mindset – Recognize and capitalize on disruptive technologies that shape the future of multiple industries.
• Evidence of developing a global product offering in liaison/ coordination with cross functional teams.
• Demonstrates strong client focus.
• Ability to identify and prioritize strategic growth opportunities, anticipating emerging business trends, make decisions and drive initiatives through to conclusion.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build consensus amongst many stakeholders; be comfortable with ambiguity.
• Ability to thrive within high pressure, complex, fast paced environments.
• Ability to lead multi-cultural and geographically dispersed virtual teams.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology or Computer Science or Business or related field.
• Relevant certifications such as Scaled Agile and ITIL are beneficial.

Required experience:

• Background in consulting (e.g., Big 4)
• Substantial demonstrated working experience gained in a similar role and preferably within a global IT services organization.
• Substantial demonstrated experience leading and managing a services/product development team.
• Substantial demonstrated experience in technical architecture, software development best practices, and emerging technologies.

**Travel:**As needed for business needs up to 50%.
