10+ years building production distributed systems Data platforms Experience building features for ML inference pipelines - data normalization, feature stores, model serving integration AI-assisted development Demonstrated proficiency with AI dev tools (GitHub Copilot, LLM-powered workflows, agentic coding assistants) - this is a key differentiator for how this team operates Greenfield builder Track record of taking systems from 0 to 1; comfortable with undefined requirements and rapid iteration Architecture Ability to own and communicate system design decisions across teams; translate ambiguous product goals into technical plans Backend Deep expertise in Java Spring Boot - API design, microservices, event-driven architectures Cloud Strong AWS experience (compute, storage, networking, IAM) Edge/CDN Hands-on experience with edge computing and CDN execution environments (edge workers, CDN functions, Lambda@Edge, or equivalent) Languages Deep expertise in Java and/or the ability to work effectively in JavaScript/TypeScript-based edge runtimes
