Research Communications Specialist Centre for Global Collab

Toronto, Ontario
Senior Level
full_time

About the role

Communications Specialist The Unity Health Centre for Global Collaboration in Acute Care Research was established in 2024 to catalyze and strengthen the international partnerships needed to advance acute care research. Arising out of activities that helped shape the international research response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Centre develops and coordinates programs that support greater national and international research collaboration. The Centre serves as the secretariat for the International Forum for Acute Care Trialists (InFACT; a global network of investigator-led acute care clinical trials groups), as the organizing hub for REMAP-CAP in Canada (an international platform trial that evaluated treatments for severe COVID-19), and other global initiatives.

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Communications Specialist to lead the Centre’s communications initiatives. Reporting to the Centre’s Manager of Research Programs & Partnerships, the Communications Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing communications strategies for the Centre and its projects, such as InFACT and REMAP-CAP Canada. Working closely with Centre leadership and external stakeholders, this role manages content creation, social media, websites, newsletters, and event communications to ensure clear, consistent, and impactful messaging that advances the Centre’s mission and global partnerships.

Don’t meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that people in underrepresented communities are less likely to apply to jobs when they don’t meet every single qualification. We are dedicated to building an inclusive workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly, we still welcome you to apply. Duties & Responsibilities
