About the Role :
We’re growing our Optical team and are excited to welcome a Licensed Optician to be part of the launch of our new Toronto Metro Centre Clinic. This is a unique opportunity to join HealthOne at an exciting moment of growth and help bring our collaborative, multidisciplinary model of care to a brand-new downtown location.
As a Licensed Optician joining at launch, you will be part of shaping the clinic from the very beginning. You’ll work side by side with an experienced, engaged multidisciplinary team, supported by strong clinical and administrative infrastructure in a modern, purpose built environment. From day one, you’ll have the opportunity to build patient relationships, contribute to how care is delivered at this location, and be part of establishing a new HealthOne clinic in the downtown core.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalized, high-quality eye care experiences with a genuine passion for the optical field.
- Guide patients through frame selection, take precise measurements, dispense glasses and contact lenses, and perform accurate fit adjustments.
- Provide friendly and knowledgeable support to Optometrists, including pre-testing procedures and patient education.
- Maintain attention to detail in all aspects of the role, from patient services to administrative tasks such as appointment booking and inventory management.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to promote awareness and understanding of the value of Opticianry services.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Opticians.
- Exceptional interpersonal, client interaction & communication skills, and the ability to relate to different personalities.
- Charismatic with a solid ability to educate patients on different lens options and empower patients to select their preferred frames.
- 1+ years experience in the eye care field, though new grads welcomed and encouraged to apply!
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet patient volume demands.

Compensation:
- $28-$35 hourly.
