REGISTERED PRACTICAL NURSE (25-0000717)

Bargaining Unit: UNIFOR-HOSPITAL
Status: Full Time
Department: Palliative & Transitional Care Services - 4 North
Site: St. Joseph's Hospital
Shifts: Days/Evenings including weekends
Rate of Pay: $38.64 - $39.17 per hour

Qualifications:

  • Certificate of Registration with the Ontario College of Nurses

  • Certificate in CPR

  • Current physical assessment course and pharmacology

  • Education/experience in hospice/palliative care is necessary

  • Clinical knowledge and demonstrated ability to work within a hospice/palliative care/complex care environment

  • Catheterization, trach suctioning, wound/skin course would be an asset and/or commitment to complete training/education course, as well as for other skill sets required for the unit

  • Must meet the qualifications to work within the full scope of the RPN

  • Demonstrated regular attendance at work

CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT
This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
