We are looking for a technician who is able to assist with an ad hoc role – this would be a Level 2 support role in Burnaby , BC.
Job Description:
- A dedicated technician to handle ad hoc requests as they come in
- This role requires someone who is confident, knowledgeable, and fully aware of both the actions they are taking and the communications they are delivering. The technician will be expected to assess requests accurately, respond appropriately, and represent the team with clarity and assurance.
Scope:
- Basic level 2 support deskside tech.
- No server configuration will be required.
- Server Hardware needs to be supported.
Assistance with:
network changes
racking and unracking of firewalls, switches, etc.
cabling changes
server changes:
racking and unracking of servers
drive swaps
Equipment disposal
Laptops, desktops, servers, network equipment
Secure wiping of equipment
Equipment unboxing
Unboxing received equipment
Placing in lab / storage
Laptops/desktops
Imaging and re-imaging
Deployments to desks
Monitors
Disposal
Deployment
Moves and Changes / Troubleshooting and evaluating
Monitors
Docking stations
PCs
Other
Shipping
Of above equipment to various locations
On-site support for events
Townhalls, Moneris 90 etc
MTR room on-site support
On-site troubleshooting and verification
