The Manager, Resource Deployment is a pivotal and strategic role, which supports ISM’s Professional Services bid and response processes, and will also have responsibility for operational tasks associated with provisioning these services.
The ideal candidate should be energetic, agile, driven to succeed, and highly customer-centric, and possess the ability to assess and understand customer requirements for skills and capacity requests through RFPs, RFRs, and other methods. Working and collaborating with ISM Managers, Recruiters, and Vendors, this position will deliver optimal solutions and responses that cater to our customers’ needs by developing a strong understanding of both business and technical services.
The successful candidate must possess proficient organizational skills, should be a knowledgeable and effective relationship builder, with the ability to act as a trusted advisor to ISM managers, employees, contractors, vendors, and our customers.
Note : the preferred work location for this position is Regina, SK; however, the location will be dependent on the location of the successful candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Support in identifying and qualifying IT professionals for project-based, contract, or full-time roles
- Use a variety of creative sourcing methods, including online job portals, ISM’s database, networking, referrals, and industry events/job fairs
- Collaborate with procurement, sales and/or hiring managers to understand client needs and match candidates accordingly
- Partner with ISM’s internal recruitment team and external agencies to secure top talent
- Proactively engage in recruitment efforts to build and maintain a pipeline of potential candidates
- Assist in managing the end-to-end proposal process as directed, including preparing and updating candidate documentation such as resumes, matrices, references, and other required materials
- Work closely with candidates to ensure their information is accurate, complete, and aligned with client requirements
- Coordinate candidate submissions, track proposal deadlines, and ensure timely and compliant proposal delivery
- Facilitate interview scheduling between candidates and clients, ensuring a smooth and efficient process
- Support offer coordination, including tracking approvals, communicating decisions, and confirming candidate acceptances
- Support contract management, onboarding, and engagement tracking for professional services staff
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with reporting requirements
- Track and meet weekly/monthly KPIs
- Maintain and update internal systems, including ISM’s ATS (JobAdder) and other platforms as assigned (including but not limited to SAP Fieldglass, SAP CATS, or other time-tracking systems, as required)
- Assist in process improvements to streamline recruitment and proposal operations
- Serve as an ambassador for ISM Professional Services, representing our team to internal stakeholders, candidates, and clients in the market
- May organize, develop and manage project support team member(s) and functions
- Assist with analyzing and forecasting technology trends
- Other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications:
- University Degree or Diploma in Business, or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience
- 1-3 years’ experience in recruitment, staffing, or IT resourcing
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and applicant tracking systems (ATS – JobAdder or similar)
- Good understanding of Project Management and business practices, procedures and methodologies.
- Strong organizational and document coordination skills
- Strong communication skills: verbal, written and interpersonal are essential.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; experience should include high impact service delivery in a rapid-paced, time sensitive, high-quality environment
- Technical Writing experience considered an asset
- Ability to analyze and forecast technology trends
- Strong understanding of both business and technical services relates to both ISM and our customers
- Demonstrated ability to train and lead others
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations to internal teams and customers
- Ability to work productively in a team environment
- Ability and initiative to learn and use new techniques, products and services
- Ability to elicit business and technical requirements
- Business and Service Reporting experience considered an asset
- Ability to make sound decisions and judgments.
- Knowledge of Kyndryl applications, such as CSA and Bond considered an asset.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Sound financial analysis background.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel as required.
Key Skills & Abilities:
- Demonstrated ability to recognize complex problems related to objectives and implement solutions or develop new system elements, procedures or processes independently or through the management of employees.
- Demonstrated ability to work closely and successfully with people in a team environment.
