Our Facilities Engineering team is expanding and in need of an Assistant Project Manager Graduate to join our group in Waterloo, Ontario. Be part of the dynamic culture! Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Business Meetings/Events Arrangement: Arrange venues, equipment, catering, accommodations, and travel for participants arriving from various locations to ensure the smooth running of medium-scale events, including coordination with suppliers and vendors when needed.
  • Administration: Produce, update, and provide best practice support on a wide range of Microsoft documents, databases, and other departmental systems, including proposal preparation and scope documentation.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Produce accurate reports for others by collecting data from a variety of standard sources and inputting it into standard formats, supporting project monitoring and business case development.
  • Client & Customer Management (Internal): Help senior colleagues manage internal client and customer relationships by using relevant sales or client systems, while supporting external client engagement and relationship development.
  • External Communications: Help others get the most out of external communications systems by offering support and advice, including coordination with equipment suppliers and participation in validation activities.
  • Knowledge Management System: Help others get the most out of knowledge management systems by offering support and advice, including integration of digital solutions and dashboards.
  • Data Management: Use data management systems to access specific information as and when required, including technical due diligence and ESG-related data.
  • Document Management: Create a local document management system for an office or department, including field documentation and contractor oversight records.
  • Work Scheduling and Allocation: Assign short-term work schedules to a team of subordinates in order to achieve expectations while following established timelines, supporting efficient project execution.
  • Project Management: Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals, including assisting with project delivery, financial tracking, and construction contract administration.

What You Will Bring To The Team

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level, preferably in Mechanical, Process or Chemical Engineering, Science and Management.
  • Industrial project participation in operations or engineering is a plus
  • Strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Capacity to build and maintain exceptional client relationships
  • Strong analytical skills with sound technical judgment
  • Proven high ethical standards with a dedication to producing high quality work
  • Self-motivated, flexible, great teammate, willing to work on a wide variety of tasks with minimal direction
  • Work will consist of office and on-site work; ability to travel to client site as needed
