About the role

As a Flight Following Agent and Operations Control Center (OCC) Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of Starlink Aviation’s operations. You will work closely with pilots, flight coordinators, the charter and air ambulance teams, as well as maintenance departments, to coordinate and manage all aspects of flight operations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan flight routes while considering factors such as weather conditions, airspace restrictions, and aircraft performance;
• Calculate and determine optimal fuel loads, taking into account variables such as distance, alternate airports, and anticipated delays;
• Maintain effective communication with pilots, flight crews, and other stakeholders before and after flights to provide the necessary support, make required adjustments, and ensure smooth operations;
• Monitor weather conditions and provide updates to flight crews; track and analyze operational performance in real time, including departures, arrivals, delays, and disruptions;
• Collaborate with maintenance personnel to monitor aircraft availability and manage operational disruptions such as weather events and maintenance issues;
• Contribute to the resolution of operational issues by coordinating with involved parties and implementing appropriate solutions;
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including those related to flight planning, safety, and security;
• Maintain accurate records of all flight-related information, including flight plans and communication logs;
• Supervise Operations Control Center activities to ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements;
• Conduct quality investigations and implement corrective actions;
• Stay current with industry regulations, best practices, and technological advancements, and implement relevant improvements;
• Perform any other related duties.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
• In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, including flight planning procedures, aircraft performance limitations, and industry best practices;
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Flight Following Agent, Flight Dispatcher, or relevant experience as a pilot;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French (an additional language is an asset);
• Flexibility to work variable shifts (evenings, weekends, and holidays) in a 24/7 operational environment;
• Strong knowledge of meteorology and the ability to interpret weather reports and forecasts;
• Proficiency with flight planning and aviation operations software and systems, as well as communication systems and other relevant technologies.
