Box Office Attendants - Uptown

TO Live’s Box Office is currently accepting applications for the role of “Box Office Attendant”. This is a part time seasonal position for an enthusiastic and outgoing team player. This role consists of working evenings and weekend hours as required.
Under the direction of the Box Office Management team, the Box Office Attendant is the front-line for Box Office customer service at TO Live’s venues, responsible for selling tickets, assisting patrons with ticketing needs and concerns, and ensuring a high level of quality, efficiency, safety and warmth as an ambassador of TO Live.
This position will primarily be responsible for working shifts at the Meridian Arts Centre, with the opportunity to take additional shifts at Meridian Hall and the St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts, as well as off-site venues, where available. This is a unionized position; successful candidates will be required to join IATSE Local B-173.
Activities and Responsibilities

Answer patron questions and conduct sales of tickets, packages, subscriptions and other items in-person at the Box Office or by telephone, using the Ticketmaster suite of softwares.

Balance and account for cash and credit card receipts from sales transactions.

Provide exceptional front line customer service and problem solving to the ticket buying public.

Organize and distribute Will Call tickets.

Assist with organization and clerical duties as assigned within the Box Office.

Keep apprised of show and ticketing information for performances across TO Live’s venues to best advise and assist patron inquiries.

Act as an ambassador of TO Live to audience member, fostering and maintain a positive and proactive attitude toward the company and its activities.

An understanding of event ticketing.

A willingness to work in a diverse and non-traditional environment.

Must possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money.

Personal computer skills with the Windows operating system and Microsoft Office suite of softwares.

Prior experience in customer service and cash handling is considered an asset.

Prior experience with the Ticketmaster family of software products is considered an asset.

Fluency in a language other than English is considered an asset.
WORKING CONDITIONS

Flexibility in hours includes regular work in evenings and weekends as required.

Loud noise during some performances and events.
-
Lack of natural light in workplace.
-
Travel between TO Live venues as required.
