Easter Seals Alberta is looking for enthusiastic and compassionate Christmas Camp Counselors to join our team for two joyful Christmas Camp events at Camp Horizon ! This is your chance to help create unforgettable memories for Albertans with disabilities — filled with laughter, friendship, and holiday cheer. About Easter Seals Camp Horizon Since 1965, Easter Seals Camp Horizon has specialized in accessible, inclusive outdoor adventures for individuals with disabilities and medical conditions. Our programs include high ropes, rock climbing, camping, arts & crafts, leadership training, and much more!

About The Role Camp Counselors are at the heart of the Christmas Camp experience. You’ll have the most hands-on role, ensuring our campers feel supported, included, and celebrated. From helping with personal care to leading games and singing carols by the fire, you’ll play a key part in spreading holiday joy.
During training, you’ll learn how to be an effective counsellor, build meaningful relationships, and gain the tools to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for every camper.
Camp Dates We have two magical Christmas Camp events — you can apply for one or both!
- Training Days: December 6th – December 8th, 2025
- Event #1: December 12–14, 2025 (overnight)
- Event #2: December 19–21, 2025 (overnight)
Pay: $520 per event worked + $50 per training day
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and facilitate inclusive games, crafts, and holiday activities
- Support campers with personal care, meals, and bedtime routines
- Ensure every camper’s dietary and accessibility needs are met
- Foster a safe, positive, and welcoming environment for all
- Encourage campers through “Challenge by Choice” opportunities
- Be a leader, role model, and source of joy for your group
- Go above and beyond to make camp a magical experience for everyone
Your Skills & Experience
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or complex medical needs
- Background in childcare, youth work, or recreation
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a fun, high-energy team
- Current Standard First Aid & CPR-C (required)
- Musical, artistic, or creative talents are a bonus — we love holiday spirit!
Working Conditions
- Onsite at Camp Horizon (Bragg Creek, AB)
- Overnight shifts during camp sessions
- Work alongside a diverse and supportive team
