About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate professional for a Senior Manager position. With extensive experience in PowerBI, MS Fabric & Azure cloud services, this role will support short and medium term business and technology cloud initiatives, with focus on the Bank's 3 to 5 year cloud technology roadmap, facilitating innovation and adoption of next-generation technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Automate deployment, configuration, and operational tasks related to data solutions using PowerShell scripts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate & migrate Power BI reports to MS Fabric with existing systems and workflows.
  • Develop automation scripts and CI/CD pipelines to streamline data processing and deployment processes using CDK/CDKTF.
  • Develop scripts to automate data processing and analysis using Python.
  • Work on data manipulation and transformation tasks to support analytical projects.
  • Create and maintain Power BI dashboards, Data gateway and reports.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide insights through data visualization.
  • Assist in the development and integration of APIs using PowerShell and RESTful services.
  • Ensure data accessibility and interoperability between systems.
  • Optimize data models and storage solutions for performance and scalability.
  • Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Utilize advanced SQL techniques for analytical queries, ensuring efficient data retrieval and reporting.
  • Optimize cube performance and ensure accurate data representation.
  • Implement monitoring and logging practices for data pipelines and systems, utilizing DevOps tools and PowerShell scripting to enhance reliability and automation.
  • Participate in development best practices, version control, and collaboration workflows to improve deployment and maintenance efficiency.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in BI development, data warehousing, and analytical queries using Power BI.
  • Experience in Power BI report migration to MS Fabric
  • Experience and sounds knowledge of MS Fabric features
  • Proficient in advanced SQL and experience with Snowflake.
  • Hands-on experience with Python for data processing.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting skills, especially for automation and DevOps tasks.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and processes (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git).
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions & Good Understanding of CDK & TypeScript, Python
  • Experience with API development and integration using PowerShell or other scripting languages is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to work and manage teams.
  • Experience with spear heading discussions with counterparts, stakeholders, business, architecture teams, operations and other engineering teams.
  • Experience in Agile delivery, including usage of JIRA
  • Experience in defining software engineering standards and best practices
  • Experience in large enterprise setting
  • Experience interacting with senior leaders
  • Experience working in highly regulated industries

**Preferred

Qualifications:**

  • Certifications in MS Fabric, Power BI, PowerShell, or DevOps tools.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.

Salary: $94,600.00 - $176,000.00

Pay Type: Salaried

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
