About the role

Job Overview:

The Contracts Principal Administrative Assistant provides solutions to problems in situations that may be atypical or infrequently occurring based on practice and existing precedents or procedures. They can communicate technical administration information to the team and suggest improvements to existing processes.

Salary Range: $55 ,616.46 - $75,571.17 . The range provided for is base salary only. In addition, McDermott offers a competitive total rewards package, including project up-lift and bonuses.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of Insurance certification.

  • Prepare Letters of Credit, Bonds, Payment Guarantees, Parent Company Guarantee.

  • Drafting, editing, formatting contractual letters.

  • Preparing presentation slides as needed

  • Developing of excel document for data management, and experience with pivot tables.

  • Experience with an EDMS (Electronic Data Management System)

  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on issues in a timely manner.

  • Type and proofread documents and correspondence.

  • Set up and maintain a manual and electronic filing system.

  • Perform additional assignments under the supervisor’s direction.

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or related experience preferred.
  • Five plus (5+) years of relevant experience, plus strong, proven experience working in an administrative assistant role preferably in a large corporation.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and other related software skills is required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, to write correspondence.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff as well as effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to work independently but within a strategic framework.
  • Always maintains a high level of confidentiality. Ability to prioritize, organize, problem-solve, and meet deadlines and goals.
