WHY JOIN OUR TEAM Competitive wages Flexible schedules Discounted employee meals Career growth and development opportunities We’re locally owned and operated Shifts: 0600 - 1400, 1400-2200, 2200-0600 Education & Experience Residential Care Aide Certificate from a reputable/accredited school required Preferred minimum 2 years of long-term care or assisted living experience Must be registered in good standing with the BC Care Aide Registry (proof required) Food Safe & WHMIS Certificates an asset Basic First Aid recommended Key Responsibilities Assist residents with all activities of daily living, including hygiene, dressing, mobility, and the use of proper lifting techniques for safety. Manage meal distribution and feeding while monitoring appetites and preferences to ensure individual nutritional needs are met. Monitor residents’ physical and cognitive health, promptly reporting any changes, concerns, or emergencies to the nursing staff. Maintain clean living areas, follow emergency protocols, and ensure all medical equipment and supplies are used safely and stored correctly. Support residents’ well-being by facilitating participation in social, recreational, and spiritual activities, including excursions and exercises. Attend multidisciplinary meetings, participate in continuing education, and strictly adhere to facility policies regarding confidentiality and safety Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must have the ability to establish and maintain good interpersonal relations by displaying tact, courtesy and patience with residents, guests, volunteers and employees. Fluent in written and oral English Physically and mentally able to carry out the duties of the position under minimum supervision Ability to organize workload efficiently Ability to safely operate mechanical lifts and other related equipment Full Role Profile available upon request MAG1
