Job Description:

As a Sustainable Building Envelope Sales Representative, you will play a key role in driving revenue growth within your assigned U.S. territory by identifying and cultivating business opportunities specifically in the higher education/universities, airports/aviation, and government/institutional building sectors. These verticals represent our strategic growth areas where sustainable, energy-effi cient building solutions are in high demand. You will work closely with our Sales, A&D, and Marketing teams to develop and execute tailored strategies to expand our customer base, increase market presence, and meet sales targets within these key sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Sales Execution: Develop and execute targeted sales strategies for each vertical to generate leads, increase market penetration, and exceed sales targets within your U.S. territory. Tailor your approach to each sector’s unique needs and priorities while ensuring alignment with Mitrex’s sustainability mission.

  2. Collaboration: Work alongside engineers, architects, and construction professionals to identify and integrate solar-integrated building designs into projects in each vertical. Provide technical expertise to ensure Mitrex and Cladify solutions meet the specific requirements of educational campuses, airports, and institutional buildings.

  3. Education & Advocacy: Educate decision-makers in the higher education, aviation, and government sectors on the environmental and operational benefits of incorporating sustainable building technologies. Emphasize the long-term energy savings, cost-effectiveness, and environmental responsibility offered by Mitrex and Cladify products.

  4. Industry Trends & Competitor Analysis: Stay informed on trends, technological advancements, and competitive products within the higher education, airport, and government sectors. Use this knowledge to communicate Mitrex’s value proposition effectively, positioning our solutions as the preferred choice for these sectors.

  5. Sales Presentations & Product Knowledge: Conduct in-depth product knowledge sessions and presentations tailored to each vertical, focusing on how Mitrex and Cladify products meet the specific needs of universities, airports, and government buildings.

  6. Sales Coordination: Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth project implementation, from the sales process through delivery and completion of projects in these sectors. Ensure that timelines and client expectations are met efficiently.

  7. Reporting & Forecasting: Prepare and present sales forecasts, progress reports, and market analysis to management, identifying key opportunities and areas for improvement across the higher education, airport, and government building sectors.

  8. Representation: Represent Mitrex & Cladify at key industry events, conferences, trade shows, and in-person meetings focused on the higher education, airport, and government sectors to increase brand visibility and product awareness.

Sales Vertical Approach:

  1. Higher Education/Universities: Establish and nurture relationships with university campuses, facilities management teams, architects, and developers within the higher education sector to showcase Mitrex and Cladify’s sustainable building envelope solutions. Highlight the benefits of solar-integrated walls and energy-efficient building materials that align with the sustainability goals of educational institutions.

  2. Airports/Aviation: Build relationships with airport authorities, aviation infrastructure developers, and contractors to promote our products for new airport terminal buildings, renovations, and expansions. Position Mitrex and Cladify as the go-to solution for airports looking to reduce their carbon footprint and implement cutting-edge energy-efficient and renewable energy technologies.

  3. Government/Institutional Buildings: Engage with government agencies, contractors, and architects working on institutional building projects to integrate our sustainable building envelopes into public sector developments. Focus on the growing need for energy-efficient, long-lasting, and environmentally responsible materials in government facilities and public institutions.

  4. REITs and Residential Rental: Real estate portfolios seeking energy-efficient upgrades across multiple properties, blending retrofit and new construction opportunities. Multi-family rental buildings, especially in urban Tier 1 cities, provide scalable retrofit potential for quick revenue (3–6 months).

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7 years of sales experience, preferably in the building materials, construction, or sustainable solutions industry, with specific experience in higher education, airports, or government/institutional buildings.
  • Proven success in driving revenue growth, meeting sales targets, and developing new business opportunities within these strategic verticals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with decision-makers, architects, contractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills with the ability to influence and secure deals.
  • Solid understanding of construction processes, building materials, and sustainable technologies as they relate to educational campuses, airports, and government buildings.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and proactive in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
