The Comptroller’s Office is looking to hire a Student Assistant for the 2025-26 academic year.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working within the Comptroller’s Office, this position will be responsible for the following duties:
- Preparation of financial analysis and reports with attention to details and deadlines, including:
- Data queries using various software
- Account analysis and reconciliations
- Preparation of journal entries
- Preparation of year-end working papers
- Support year-end audit processes
- Provide support to budget processes, including:
- Preparation of budget reports
- Preparation of budget changes
- Other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current McDougall Faculty of Business student with a focus in accounting
- Experience working in an office environment would be considered an asset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – verbal and written
- Ability to remember numerous details, both qualitative and quantitative
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, data analysis software and other business software
