Job description: We are actively looking to hire a Co-Op Financial Analyst to join our team.

As a Co-Op Financial Analyst, you will have the opportunity to gain experience through rotations across Finance in key areas such as Financial Reporting, Planning & Analysis, and Tax. This will help you build a strong foundation to accelerate your career as a finance professional.

At Allstate Canada, you will have the opportunity to work with registered mentors at CPA Ontario who will be able to help you accomplish your professional development goals.

What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reports over key performance metrics
  • Assist with financial models and perform variance analysis over the results and KPIs
  • Assist in preparation of recurring monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support Finance initiatives to improve efficiencies over accounting and reconciliations
  • Support the annual external audit process
  • Ad-hoc requests, reports & analyses as required

What You Bring:

  • Major in Accounting / Finance in the 2nd year or higher with previous finance related experience would be considered as strong asset
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Applications, most notably Excel (Pivots, Lookups, macros, VBA, etc.) and PowerPoint
  • Positive demeanor – excited to learn and support in improving our processes
  • Organized and excellent time management skills
  • Team player with strong social skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be analytical and detail-oriented
