We have immediate career opportunities for 2 Part-time ENG Editors, reporting to the News Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Editing news content under tight time deadlines
- Coordinating feeds
- Media management
- Editing news content on location
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
- A minimum of two years editing in a news environment
- A degree or diploma in television/ news production
Experience editing on Non-Linear platforms, preferably Adobe Premiere Pro
Knowledge of the Hamilton, Halton and Niagara area would be an asset
A working knowledge of ENPS is preferred
A working knowledge of News automation systems
Substantial knowledge of local current events and newsmakers
A competitive drive to be the first to tell stories of interest and importance to this community
A proven ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
A strong interest in current events
Demonstrable storytelling skills
Must be able to work in a team environment and consistently meet deadlines
Ability to work rotating shifts, which includes days, afternoons, evenings, over-nights, and weekend shifts
Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
