As the Manager, Admissions and Data Strategy, you will lead the strategic planning, oversight, and continuous improvement of admissions operations. In close collaboration with the Director, Enrolment Services & Faculty Registrar, you will develop and implement data-informed strategies to achieve enrolment targets and ensure a seamless admissions experience for a diverse cohort of health professions students. You will serve as a key advisor to departments on admissions policies, processes, and methodologies, and act as the primary resource for admissions committees. You will lead coordinated efforts alongside the recruitment team and academic partners to elevate the applicant experience, optimize recruitment communications, and streamline business processes to ensure responsive, applicant-centric service at every stage of the admissions journey. In addition, you will also provide oversight of all admissions-related systems, ensuring effective use of technology to support operational excellence, data integrity, and informed decision-making.

This is an exciting opportunity for a forward thinking leader who is passionate about strategic planning, data strategy, and advancing equitable access to medical education, while guiding and developing admissions and recruitment professionals across the MD, MRS, and PA programs.

Essential Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in commerce, economics, statistics, mathematics or equivalent. Graduate degree preferred
  • Minimum seven years of progressive strategic experience related to admission operations (admissions or assessment data driven operations, including statistical analysis, demographic analysis, computer-assisted analysis, and operations research) in a university setting.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant and complex university admissions, enrolment management, and data reporting issues and policies
  • Experience developing high functioning teams, including a proven track record of success in leading and mentoring staff, preferably in a unionized environment
  • Experience creating and maintaining datasets, systems, and predictive models, ideally within an admissions environment
  • Experience with conducting data analysis to support the development of academic programming and initiatives
  • Experience with monitoring budgets, work processes, resource allocations, and forecasting staffing needs
  • Expert knowledge of student information systems (preferably ROSI)
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and database management
  • Strong knowledge of university policies, procedures, and collective agreements
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to work with a high degree of independence solving complex problems
  • Strong decision-making skills; strong planning and project management skills, focusing on executing and completing tasks under pressure and managing conflicting priorities and deadlines
  • Strong multi-tasking ability; proven judgment, tact, discretion and diplomacy
  • Ability to maintain a broad perspective, and the ability to foster and maintain effective relationships with all levels of faculty, staff, learners, senior administrators and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative and consultative environment
