The University of Toronto invites applications for the Richard Charles and Esther Yewpick Lee Chair in Chinese Thought and Culture. This position is intended for a scholar with a strong record of research and teaching in Chinese thought and culture, with a focus on contemporary issues.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct research in the field of Chinese thought and culture.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses.
- Supervise graduate students.
- Engage in service to the department, faculty, and university.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in a relevant field.
- A strong record of research and publication.
- Experience in teaching at the university level.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to teach in both English and Chinese.
- Experience with interdisciplinary approaches to Chinese studies.
Other Relevant Details
- The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the academic community and engage with the public through outreach activities.
