About the role
About the Company
Enerva Energy Solutions is an energy efficiency and decarbonization firm that designs and delivers energy programs for utilities and government agencies across Canada. We are the program management company with our own in-house technology design and development team, building the platforms, dashboards, and tools that power efficient program delivery — from rebate and incentive management to compliance, reporting, and measurement and verification. Our mission is to help homes, businesses, and industries reduce emissions, conserve energy, and lower utility costs.
About the Role
We are looking for a Project Manager to lead the delivery of our software projects. Sitting at the intersection of our development team and our energy program experts, you will translate program needs into well-scoped software initiatives and see them through from concept to launch. You will manage timelines, budgets, and stakeholders across internal platforms and client-facing tools, ensuring we ship reliable software that supports the successful delivery of energy efficiency and demand-side management programs. This is a hands-on role for someone who is equally comfortable running a sprint planning session and walking a utility client through a project roadmap.
Responsibilities
Own the full project lifecycle for software initiatives — planning, scoping, execution, delivery, and post-launch review — across internal tools and client-facing platforms. Coordinate the in-house development team (engineers, designers, and QA), removing blockers and keeping work on track. Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives) and maintain a healthy, prioritized backlog. Partner with program management, engineering, and outreach teams to gather requirements and translate program needs into clear technical specifications and user stories. Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, dependencies, and risks, escalating issues early and proposing solutions. Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including utility and government clients, providing regular status updates and managing expectations. Ensure software deliverables meet program requirements around data accuracy, reporting, compliance, and rebate/incentive tracking. Track and report on project progress, resource allocation, and key milestones to leadership. Champion process improvements and best practices in project management and software delivery across the team.
Qualifications
Required
3+ years of project management experience, including managing software development projects through the full lifecycle. Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Proven ability to manage competing priorities, timelines, and stakeholders on multiple concurrent projects. Experience with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Azure DevOps, Confluence). Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical audiences. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and risk-management skills. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred
PMP, CSM, PMI-ACP, or equivalent project management certification. Experience in the energy, utility, sustainability, or cleantech sector. Familiarity with energy efficiency or demand-side management (DSM) programs, incentive/rebate administration, or regulatory reporting. Experience delivering data-driven products such as dashboards, reporting platforms, or analytics tools. Exposure to working with government agencies or regulated clients.
Pay range and compensation package
