###Are you an innovative Manager, Academic Programs passionate about providing guidance and strategic leadership?
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Manager, Academic Programs. Reporting to the Chair for theSchools of Accounting and Financial Services and Global Business, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and strategic leadership in the development, enhancement, and evaluation of our academic offerings. This pivotal role supports our strategic and operational initiatives by overseeing special projects related to departmental business plans and operations.

- Leading special projects and initiatives related to departmental business plans and operations, fostering innovation and efficiency.
- Managing and facilitating faculty contract hiring for the Schools of Accounting and Financial Services and Global Business
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of academic programs, analyzing student outcomes and program effectiveness.
- Providing support for centralized processes, including program registration, admissions and quality assurance.
- Collaborating with academic leaders and stakeholders to identify opportunities for program enhancements, expansion, or new offerings aligned with industry needs and standards.
- Reviewing fiscal positions related to course enrollment, fees, and funding, actively participating in strategic planning and budget processes to ensure financial sustainability and viability.
Faculty Support
- Providing advice to faculty on classroom management, interpretation of academic policy and problems dealing with specific students.
- Supporting adjunct faculty in delivering curriculum and carrying out projects in the classrooms and labs by determining need, hiring, supervising and mentoring adjunct faculty
- Providing ongoing support, support and feedback, regular evaluation sessions and determine the professional development needs of those being supervised, under the supervision of the Chair.
Student Support
- Counseling students who have academic issues in an effort to informally solve the problem and avoid a formal student appeal.
- Facilitating student accommodation needs with faculty when requested
- Acting as a bridge between student advisers and program coordinators, when required
- Collaborating on academic success plans for students with non-standard schedules.
###Are You Our Ideal Leader for Academic Programs?
We are looking for a strong leader with excellent interpersonal skills and a focus on continuous improvement to lead within the Schools of Accounting and Financial Services and Global Business. In addition, we have the following qualifications in mind:
- Completed post-secondary education in Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, International Business, Economics, Financial Services, or a related field is preferred
- 5+ years of experience in academic programs, program planning, program development, curriculum development, project management, and building collaborative partnerships.
- Strong leadership experience within a unionized environment is desirable, including setting job performance standards, defining academic requirements, developing policies and procedures and demonstrating specific expertise in student success processes.
- Post-secondary teaching experience, preferably in a related discipline, is an asset.
