Description
Site Superintendent - ICI - Ottawa
As a Site Superintendent , you will work closely with clients, subcontractors, and trades to ensure the successful delivery of construction projects. You will oversee the day-to-day operations on commercial and retail construction sites .
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Coordinating and supervising subcontractors, trades, and on-site personnel.Maintaining clear and effective communication with clients, architects, engineers, and other key stakeholders.
- Creating, updating, and managing project schedules to meet critical milestones and proactively addressing any issues that arise.
- Monitoring project progress and providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Collaborating closely with the Project Management team and other internal departments to support project goals.
- Conducting regular site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Profile
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Site Superintendent within an established ICI General Contractor.
- Proven track record managing multiple full-cycle new construction and interior renovation projects in the retail and commercial sectors.
- Educational background in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and inspire diverse teams.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong commitment to safety, with a thorough understanding of construction safety requirements and regulations.
- Proficient in construction management software (Procore) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Job Offer
- A basic salary of up to $120,000 (dependent upon experience)
