Job Title: iWay Developer
Location: Toronto, ON (hybrid) Duration: 6 months Rate: CAD50-CAD60/hr
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced iWay Developer to support and enhance enterprise integration solutions in a mainframe environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing existing iWay interfaces, developing data transformation processes, and supporting message-based integrations using MQ and DB2. This role requires strong technical expertise in application development, integration technologies, testing, and production support.
Key Responsibilities
Enhance and support existing iWay jobs and integration workflows. Develop, test, and maintain data transformation processes between enterprise systems. Design, code, and implement integration solutions following development best practices. Read messages from MQ, transform data, and load information into DB2 tables. Read data from DB2 tables, transform it into XML format, and publish it to MQ queues. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to iWay integrations, MQ messaging, and DB2 databases. Perform unit testing, system testing, and support deployment activities. Create and maintain technical documentation for applications and integrations. Collaborate with business and technical teams to analyze requirements and implement solutions. Provide production support and participate in troubleshooting and incident resolution activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on experience with iWay development. Experience working in a mainframe environment. Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and development best practices. Experience in application design, development, testing, and documentation. 2+ years of hands-on experience with IBM MQ and DB2. Experience with data transformation and XML processing. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting enterprise integration platforms and middleware solutions. Knowledge of messaging architectures and data integration patterns. Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments. Familiarity with production support and change management processes.
Experience Required
5+ years of iWay development experience. 2+ years of MQ and DB2 experience. Experience developing and supporting integrations within a mainframe environment.
