Reporting to the Chef and Camp Manager, the Food & Beverage Representative serves as the primary guest-facing representative within the dining facility and acts as a working lead for the General Helper team. This position is responsible for ensuring exceptional guest service, maintaining dining room standards, supporting food safety compliance, monitoring guest and casual meal programs, assisting with staff training and development, and promoting a safe and welcoming environment for all site occupants. The Food & Beverage Representative acts as a liaison between guests, kitchen staff, housekeeping, site administration, and camp management to ensure guests receive a high quality dining experience while maintaining compliance with company, client, and regulatory requirements. As a visible leadership presence within the dining facility, this position plays a critical role in guest satisfaction, employee development, food safety compliance, and operational excellence. This position is safety sensitive and requires a criminal record check. The position involves a remote work lifestyle in a camp setting with the following amenities: All meals and accommodations are provided Travel is provided to and from the site locations from designated locations in Winnipeg, Thompson, Flin Flon and The Pas. Private room with cable television Access to Wi-Fi Access to laundry facilities and detergents Access to a gym and common areas Key responsibilities include: Deliver exceptional guest service and act as primary point of contact in the dining facility Lead dining room operations, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and service standards Conduct guest orientations and communicate site expectations, procedures, and safety protocols Oversee casual meal and made-to-order programs, ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance Ensure adherence to food safety (HACCP), sanitation, and regulatory standards Supervise, train, and mentor General Helpers to drive performance and consistency Monitor service quality, identify improvements, and support operational excellence Promote workplace safety and ensure compliance with safe work practices and PPE Support administrative tasks, reporting, audits, and cross-department coordination Qualifications WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? Required Qualifications: Food Safe Certification (or ability to obtain Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and make sound decisions Strong organizational and documentation skills Ability to work flexible schedules, including split shifts Ability to work in a remote camp environment Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism Must have valid government issued photo ID for travel to site Must have the ability to complete a Criminal Background Check Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing Ability to handle the following physical demands: Lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 lbs Climb ladders or stairs Stand, walk, squat, kneel or sit according to task for extended periods of time Perform repetitive hand work requiring full use of both hands Perform work with arms at full length Work with arms above shoulder height Preferred Qualifications Previous camp, hotel, hospitality, food service, catering, or customer service experience Experience leading or mentoring front-line employees Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety program Experience conducting orientations or employee training Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills Experience in a remote camp or industrial worksite environment Additional Information WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU? Be #1 on day 1 by joining an industry leader Work schedule and remuneration: Food & Beverage Supervisors work on a rotational schedule of 2 weeks on/1 week off. Site locations are in remote settings, requiring either air travel to site, or via ground on our shuttle. You may be required to work nights, weekdays, weekends, and general holidays. Wages are paid on an hourly basis with a starting rate of $21.00 per hour. Schedule: Flexible schedule required, including split shifts as operationally necessary to support breakfast and supper meal services.
