| What we are looking for

Reporting into the Manager, Marketing, the Specialist, Content Marketer, connects business objectives to targeted audiences through compelling content for Payments Canada’s annual event, The SUMMIT, The SUMMIT Series webinars and our corporate speaking engagements.

You are an analytical storyteller who understands brand protection and how to reach audiences through a variety of multimedia experiences. You thrive in an active, demanding environment and value an integrated, team-based approach to success.

This is a temporary position for a 13-month term.

| A day in the life

Your core responsibilities as a Specialist, Content Marketer will include but are not limited to:

Content Strategy and Development

  • Support the design and implementation of creative content marketing strategies based on sound methodology in support of Payments Canada’s annual event, The SUMMIT, The SUMMIT Series webinars and our corporate speaking engagements.
  • Execute the design and production of creative content marketing to build brand identity and online presence for The SUMMIT. Produce high-quality content for a variety of platforms (written, audio and video) by collaborating with subject matter experts, members of the Marketing and Communications team and external vendors.
  • Build brand identity and online presence through the creation and dissemination of multimedia content.
  • Coordinate the logistical and promotional requirements for corporate speaking engagements.

Awareness and Engagement Growth

  • Work closely with internal and external partners to grow interest, awareness and understanding of The SUMMIT, The SUMMIT Series webinars and our corporate speaking engagements, particularly focused on the benefits of modern payments.
  • Monitor audience engagement and awareness growth through data-driven evaluation of marketing activities
  • Remain current on innovative developments in content marketing and committed to best practices in the field of marketing and communications.

Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships, internally and externally.
  • Monitor, review and evaluate the delivery, impact, and effectiveness of plans and activities.

| What you need to be successful

  • Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, or related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years in a corporate marketing and communications environment with a demonstrated knowledge of marketing best practices.
  • A minimum of two (2) years experience with event and marketing platforms.
  • Proven skills in content marketing, social media advertising and project managements
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics and web publishing.
  • Experience in copywriting and editing following CP style.
  • Ability to synthesize complex material into marketing content.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively work under pressure.
  • High degree of critical thinking, initiative, flexibility and “obsessive” attention to detail.
  • Eligibility to successfully complete background checks that will be carried out by Payments Canada, including criminal, credit, identity, employment, and education checks.

| Salary range

  • Based on qualifications and experience: $73,500 to $98,000
