Note: This is a full-time position at the Addiction Recovery Office in Sudbury, ON. Directly reporting to the Addiction Counsellor; pay rate as agreed, based on experience, expertise, and applicable education.
COMPANY INTRODUCTION
Teen Challenge is a 12-month, faith-based, in-residence drug and alcohol rehabilitation program, for adults 18 and older. We currently have 8 centres located in Alberta, Atlantic Canada, Saskatchewan and Ontario that are able to serve up to 197 people who are struggling with substance addiction. We demonstrate God’s love by helping individuals become free from substance addiction and equipping them to live full and meaningful lives.
JOB POSITION DESCRIPTION
Our Sudbury Recovery Office is looking for a full-time Outreach and Engagement Representative that has a minimum of two years experience. The primary responsibility of the Outreach and Engagement Representative is to build relationships with persons who are struggling with addiction (clients), who may be also marginalized and homeless, and/or need support and resources. The work centre is the Teen Challenge Canada Addiction Recovery Office, which is an inner-city presence in the addiction’s community. The incumbent will work with clients by providing access to community resources to help them address addictions issues and related harms. This will include providing access to the Teen Challenge Canada (TCC) program through the online application process and providing spiritual and social support. They will also be responsible for building and maintaining connections with local churches, volunteers and donors.

Teen Challenge Canada has been serving men and women experiencing addiction, through our 12-month faith-based program, for over 50 years. What started as a coffee house outreach in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, has grown to nine drug and alcohol addiction rehabilitation centres across five provinces.
Through Teen Challenge Canada's yearlong, in-residence, drug and alcohol rehabilitation program, men and women 18 years and older in addiction, are given the time they need to heal. The program offers comprehensive training that helps equip individuals with the tools to maintain their sobriety and return to their families and friends substance-free.
Teen Challenge Canada is one of four Teen Challenge organizations within Canada and part of a network of over 1400 Teen Challenge centres worldwide.
