About the role
Job Description Job Description: The Site Budget and Contract Specialist leads the development of investigator budget proposals, and acts as the main point of contact for budget and contract negotiations for investigator sites.
Job Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains positive and productive relationships with clinical research sites.
- Develops the draft clinical budgets for new studies.
- Develops the minimum and maximum budget grid for negotiation with sites.
- Obtains the approved Clinical Trial Agreement (CTA) template to be used for the study from Legal Affairs.
- Develops the project-specific Clinical Trial Agreement (CTA) template for studies.
- Facilitates the negotiation and signature of the site budgets/contracts with investigators, in collaboration with Legal Affairs, and when appropriate with Sponsors
- Manages contract/budget amendments during the course of the trial.
- Updates appropriate tracking systems to facilitate site payments.
- Supports the Director, Site Selection and Contracting to ensure knowledge of the goals, scope and requirements of the internal and external projects and to ensure high quality results are delivered.
Qualifications
- B.Sc. or in a relevant field of study.
- Excellent written and verbal English skills.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in clinical research in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or CRO industry, including significant and relevant experience in site selection, study start-up activities, site budget/contract negotiation and/or has worked closely with sites or worked in a site environment.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point).
- Experience of dermatological clinical research is an asset.
- Quick learner, good adaptability and versatile.
- Flexibility, positive attitude, superior attention to detail, and critical thinking skills.
- Organized, able to juggle competing priorities, and work in a fast pace and evolving environment.
- Ability to work in a team environment and establish good relationships with colleagues, sponsors, and sites
