Job Title: Release Manager
Location: Toronto, ON (100% Onsite, possible to change. Regular working hours Monday • Friday, some weekends and after 9PM shifts)
Duration: 14 months
Contract Type: T4 only
Pay Rate: $67.89/Hour
Role Mandate:

Individual will be responsible for the planning, scheduling, and coordination of storage migrations in lower to production environments.

They will ensure that releases are delivered on time, with high quality, and minimal disruption to existing systems.
-
This involves overseeing the entire release lifecycle, from planning and development to testing and deployment.
Key Responsibilities:

Planning and Scheduling: Defining release cadences, creating release schedules, and coordinating activities across different teams (development, testing, operations).

Release Coordination: Managing the release process, including tracking progress, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.

Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicating release plans, changes, and progress to stakeholders, and facilitating communication between teams involved in the release.

Risk Management: Identifying potential risks associated with releases and developing mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.

Quality Assurance: Ensuring that storage releases meet quality standards through testing and validation processes.

Change Management: Managing changes to the production environment during releases, ensuring minimal disruption and proper rollback procedures.

Knowledge of Service Now and Jira

ITIL certified an asset

Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD): Supporting and contributing to the implementation and improvement of CI/CD pipelines to streamline the release process.

Stakeholder Management: Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across different departments to ensure alignment and effective communication.

Project Management: Ability to plan, organize, and manage complex projects with multiple dependencies and timelines.

Risk Management: Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with storage releases.
Must Have Requirements:

General knowledge in Enterprise Infrastructure – compute, network and storage (minimum 5 years)

Deep knowledge in Change Management process

Knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM platform
-
ITSM certified preferred
Nice To Haves:
- PMP
Knowledge in JIRA, Confluence and Scrum is a plus
