As our innovative business grows rapidly, we are seeking a Warehouse Shipper to join our team in Richmond, BC . Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Shipping Associate is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and safe shipment of customer orders while maintaining food safety, quality, and warehouse standards in a cold chain environment.
Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10am-6:30pm
Wage: $23/hour
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare, verify, and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Palletize, stage, wrap, and label pallets daily
- Ensure all orders are correctly packed, labeled, and invoiced prior to shipment/pick up
- Confirm all shipments are picked up as scheduled
- Operate warehouse equipment(walkies, forklifts, OPR) safely to move and load product
- Adhere to GMPs, HACCP, SQF, and all food safety and quality standards
- Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized shipping/working areas
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Report any issues related to food safety, product quality, equipment, or personnel safety to the supervisor
- Maintain shipping equipment to Intercity Packers standards Perform other relat ed department duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience operating walkies, forklifts and pallet jacks is an asset. We provide in-house training and certification
- Comfortable working in a refrigerated warehouse environment
- Ability to be multi-task, handle customer inquiries and request
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to solve routine problems using established procedures
- Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg safely
