About the role
Reporting to the Director, Ticket Sales and Service, the Account Manager, Ticket Sales and Services will be a high performing, sales and service professional, focused on the creation and delivery of the best sports and entertainment experience in the Greater Ottawa/Gatineau area. Our sales professionals work closely with members of our Sports Business Operations team (Business Intelligence, Brand & Content, Digital Marketing) to drive our fan engagement and conversion strategies.
This full-time, permanent role has an annual salary of $45,000, plus commissions, with 100% employer-paid benefits. Final compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience and qualifications. This is a replacement position, with the option to work from our Ottawa office in a hybrid work arrangement.
What you’ll do*:*
- Execute individual and/or group ticket sales and service plans focused on new fan acquisition, pro-active servicing and account growth.
- Grow the Ottawa REDBLACKS and Ottawa 67’s fan base by selling and servicing existing group ticketing packages and programs.
- Manage existing book of REDBLACKS and 67’s group sales accounts through the execution of our ticket sales and service plan.
- Enhance season seat member experience through pro-active sales and service strategies.
- Grow existing book of business through referrals, product add-ons, upgrades and cross selling other OSEG properties.
- Utilize traditional and non-traditional sales tactics to promote and sell ticket packages to consumers. Including cold calling, email, text and digital strategies.
- Grow, nurture and convert qualified leads by connecting fans with our various ticketing products.
- Manage customer relationship touch points, sales pipelines and opportunities through Salesforce.
- Provide support at games, events and activations for sales team and other departments.
- Other tasks as assigned.
What’s needed:
- Completion of post-secondary degree or diploma in a Sports Business Management program is considered an asset.
- 0-2 years in a direct sales or relationship management role.
- Experience in a high-volume sales and services environment.
- Self-starter with ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Ability and eagerness to work through sales prospecting including handling sales calls, identifying sales opportunities and handling objections.
- Knowledge of the sales process including cold calling and face to face selling techniques.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Highly motivated with a preference to working in a high-paced environment.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- CRM (Salesforce) experience considered an asset.
- Digital Sales and Marketing experience considered an asset.
- Ability to work weekends and evenings on an as needed basis.
- Bilingual in English and French is an asset.
