Organizational Development & Talent Advisor
About This Role:
Workplace Arrangements
This role is primarily remote, with one day a month on-site at our Ottawa Home Office.
Role Purpose: At Giant Tiger, we believe good ideas should be practical, scalable, and easy to execute. You’ll join a team focused on building talent and organizational practices that support real business needs — not unnecessary complexity.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Influence enterprise talent and organizational practices.
- Build tools and frameworks used across the business.
- Work closely with HR and operational leaders.
- Contribute to a growing Canadian retailer with a strong culture of accountability and development.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Develop and maintain organizational design tools, documentation, and role structures that support Giant Tiger’s Accountability Management System (AMS)
- Maintain enterprise succession planning tools and talent review resources that improve visibility into leadership readiness and workforce risks
- Produce workforce, succession, and organizational insights through reporting, analysis, and HR data interpretation
- Implement and maintain career pathing frameworks and supporting resources that enable internal mobility and employee development
- Provide guidance and training to HR Business Partners and business leaders on organizational design and talent frameworks
- Develop practical tools, process documentation, job aids, and training materials that support consistent adoption of OD and talent processes across the organization
- Execute components of enterprise organizational development and talent initiatives, projects, and annual talent cycles
What You'll Bring:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in Organizational Development, Talent Management, Organizational Design, or a related HR function.
- Experience supporting organizational design, succession planning, or talent review processes.
- Experience building and maintaining HR frameworks, tools, templates, or documentation.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills with experience working with workforce or HR data.
- Ability to simplify concepts into practical tools, resources, and training materials.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to support both HR and business leaders.
- Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver consistent, high-quality work.
Assets You May Have:
- CHRP, CHRL, or equivalent HR designation.
- Bilingualism in English and French.
- Experience working in retail, distribution, or another multi-site environment.
- Experience creating HR dashboards, workforce reporting, or training resources.

Salary
What Giant Tiger Offers:
Competitive Compensation: The salary range for this position is listed above. Giant Tiger will consider factors such as experience, skills and internal equity to ensure you are paid competitively.
Retirement Support: We contribute 6% of your annual base salary to a Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP) on your behalf, no employee contribution required.
Health Benefits and Paid Time Off: Access to our flexible, cost-shared health and dental benefits (available on hire) and annual paid time off, including personal and vacation days, plus additional paid holiday time between Christmas and New Year’s.
