Casual Security Guard - Industrial Aviation Manufacturer
Essential Job Functions:
- Operate all equipment that is required to be used in the course of your duties;
- Access the post orders; SOP’s and forms by becoming familiar with each one and where to find them on the USDB dashboard;
- Respond in a prompt, professional and calm manner for all communications;
- Perform operation of the TTY at the West Gate;
- Operation and care of the portable radios;
- Follow SOPs;
- Follow Paladin Employee Manual, especially with respect to use of personal phones while on duty; be ready to start shift , with all equipment, at stated starting time
- Perform operation of the CCTV system and complete scans in accordance with Security Management directions;
- Operation of the fire panel;
- Impair and un-impair the fire panel, completing all appropriate documentation and making all appropriate notifications;
- Badging visitors in the BTB system;
- Issue temporary badges to employees and complete all paperwork as well as entries into the electronic log;
- Control of vehicle access and egress through all three gates;
- Completion of all patrols, including but not exclusive to gauge rounds; valve rounds; freezer rounds;
- Respond to emergencies such as fire, medical, spills etc. Complete appropriate paperwork as required;
- Respond to the all alarms, fire, duress; Freon; etc.
- Follow the process for responding to door opening requests, confined space requests; work alone and emergency contact of client employee;
- Completion of Hot Works and Red Tags, to include completion of all paperwork and electronic logs;
- Use the E-Safe program and produce a USIR when required;
- Sign on and check emails daily and frequently to ensure correspondence is being review promptly,
- Other duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of Grade 12 or GED required
- Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada at the time of application
- Must be eligible for or have Canadian Controlled Goods Clearance
- Valid Manitoba Security Guard License
- Speak, write and read English fluently
- Minimum 1 year security experience is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer (MS Office Suite) and organizational skills.
- Completion of required LMS courses on Paladin website
- Able to perform patrols.
- Able to walk, stand and sit for long periods of time.
- Able to perform consistently in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working in a team environment.
- We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position
