Responsibilities We are seeking a Loadout Operator who is skilled in industrial operations and demonstrates leadership potential, a willingness to learn, and a strong commitment to Yara’s core values. This role is ideal for someone who is goal-oriented, and is motivated to grow into a leadership position.The Loadout Operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of load-out equipment to handle Ammonia, UAN/DEF, and Urea products.
Loading Operations
- Load Urea (Ag grade and Feed Grade) into rail and truck bulk carriers
- Inspect, hook up, load, disconnect, and perform final inspection of NH3 tank trucks and cars
- Responsible for monitoring UAN/DEF self-load operations, operating urea loading control and dedusting systems.
Rail & Equipment Handling
- Railyard equipment and switching operations
- Operate front-end loader, Zoom Boom, and Bobcat
Safety & Maintenance
- Troubleshoot load-out equipment to maintain optimal efficiency
- Prepare Urea, Ammonia, and UAN DEF systems for maintenance
- Conduct inspections, sealing, and recording of hopper car shipments
Education, Experience & Skill
- Grade 12 diploma (minimum requirement)
- Leadership potential: Ability to grow into a supervisory role and inspire others
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Willingness to learn: Open to training, feedback, and continuous improvement
- Commitment to Yara’s values
- Goal-oriented mindset: Driven to achieve operational excellence and personal growth
- Strong knowledge of safety programs and emergency response procedures an asset
- Hands-on mechanical skills and problem-solving ability an asset
- Knowledge of basic process operation, bulk liquid and solids loading systems and equipment operation troubleshooting, and maintenance systems an asset.
- Industrial site experience is an asset
