As a Technology Project Manager, you will lead technology implementations by building project teams with business stakeholders, technologists, vendor partners, and subject-matter experts. You will maintain relationships with internal colleagues (your clients), serving as a conduit to the staff and resources required for the success of their project and fulfillment of their business goals. You will gather requirements, confirm alignment between business process and the related systems, and monitor scope, budget, and risks as you lead delivery and handoff of a production technology implementation.
This position is temporary full time till approximately March 30, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Leverage project management methodology and the Digital Transformation & Strategy team’s Idea to Action process lead several simultaneous technology implementation projects.
- Communicate actively with project stakeholders, leadership, and teammates to maintain relationships, share information, and inspire great ideas.
- Anticipate risks, develop risk responses, and methodically address challenges when they arise.
- Resolve conflict within the project team or with vendors. Use discretion to determine how to seek support from leadership and peers to address conflict.
- Gather information from subject matter experts in the project team and lead decision-making to define an implementation path. As the project progresses and new information and additional details arise, ensure iterative decisions align to the project goals.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation to track the project from initiation through completion. Leverage this documentation to demonstrate progress, keep the team aligned to goals, track decisions, and communicate the value this work is delivering.
- Organize, prioritize, and manage timelines to ensure that multiple projects progress simultaneously.
- Conceptualize business process solutions that consider business units, customers, and legislated requirements with the skill to integrate technology in the solution to ensure the process is effective and efficient.
- Apply analytical and leadership skills to assist the business areas in developing viable project proposals.
- Participate in ideation discussions, solution exploration workshops, problem-solving sessions, and team meetings to support and collaborate with colleagues on the Digital Transformation & Strategy team.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 3-year degree or diploma in a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of work experience in technology implementations.
- Experience and knowledge of business case development with the ability to apply quantitative and qualitative decision analysis and assist the business areas in developing business cases.
- Demonstrated experience leading technology projects of varying size and scope.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience with business analysis and business process design.
- Demonstrated aptitude for learning about new technology.
- Knowledge of formal supplier selection processes such as RFP, RFI and/or RFQ, contracts, and statement of work related to services and products.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills to plan and develop objectives
- Strong ability to organize, prioritize and work effectively to deadlines
- Excellent collaboration skills to advance key projects and work effectively with internal and external partners and customer service experience to effectively negotiate and resolve concerns from members of the organization
- Ability to support and project values compatible with the organization and to participate as an effective team member.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Reliable with a good attitude and employment record.
