50/50 Game Day Supervisor

The OSEG Foundation is looking for a high-energy, tech-savvy, reliable and customer-focused individual who craves working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
The 50/50 Game Day Supervisor will oversee the operations and logistics of the 50/50 raffle draws on game days at TD Place. The Game Day Supervisor will also supervise a group of staff who serve as on-site 50/50 Sellers at sporting events associated with the Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group (OSEG) including Ottawa REDBLACKS, Ottawa 67’s, Ottawa BlackJacks, Ottawa Charge, Rapid FC, and Atlético Ottawa home games, along with other special events.
This is a replacement position and requires on-site work. The hourly pay for this part-time position is $20.10.
What you’ll do:
- Support the 50/50 Campaign in all aspects of the events.
- Supervise and monitor the 50/50 Sellers.
- Assist with training of 50/50 Sellers.
- Motivate and inspire 50/50 Sellers for maximum results.
- Assign 50/50 Sellers to selling locations.
- Sell 50/50 tickets.
- Execute pre-event preparations and game day logistics (including ticket and kiosk set-up and tear-down, drawing of the winning number, reporting the winning number in a timely manner to OSEG distribution list, etc.).
- Troubleshoot technical issues with raffle system and POS devices.
- Complete prize winner claimant documentation.
- Provide a detailed post-event report.
- Seek ways to enhance the customer game-day experience in unique ways that focus on creating memorable moments.
- Serve as game day liaison with representatives from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
- Embody the OSEG mantra of One Team, One Vision.
- Exercise appropriate judgement in dealing with customer issues – and notifies and consults with team members to ensure client walks away feeling their complaint has been or is being dealt with in an appropriate manner.
- Show initiative and work with an appropriate level of independence.
What’s needed:
- Excellent communication and engaging customer service skills.
- Experience managing staff.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position including standing/walking/climbing stairs and moving equipment for extended periods of time.
- Strong leadership qualities and interpersonal skills.
- Background or experience in retail sales.
- Strong ability to problem solve and think on your feet.
- Ability to use technology and adapt to new tech features.
- Excels working in a large crowd with limited supervision.
- Organized and detail-oriented.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays (as required).
- 5 to 15 hours per week (depending on the season).
- Bilingualism (English & French) is considered an asset.
- Able to provide a clear Criminal Records Check.
