About the role
Your Opportunity:
The successful candidate is accountable for administrative support to the Allied Health Community Manager. Key responsibilities include coordinating appointments for the Manager, tracking and ensuring timely follow-up to requests and work in progress, assisting with site operations, collating information, developing draft correspondence, reports and spreadsheets, recruitment support, time keeping and mail distribution. You will work closely with other Managers and staff, network with other departments or agencies, and respond to inquiries as appropriate. Your flexible and anticipatory approach and well-developed organizational skills will assist in completion of other responsibilities including minute taking and oversight of/contribution to projects as required across Edmonton Zone Allied Health Community.

Required Qualifications:
Some post-secondary education.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Minimum Grade 12 education, successful completion of a post-secondary secretarial/administrative support certificate from an accredited program. Five years office management or administrative experience. Advanced proficiency with computer applications including all Microsoft Office applications, Visio, e-people, Oracle, Teams, and e-people. Excellent verbal and written communication - strong formatting, grammar and proof-reading skills. Strong organizational, problem solving and time management skills - able to multitask and work within short timelines, deal with numerous interruptions and work independently in a busy environment. Able to manage physical demands - lifting to 30lbs, bending, twisting, reaching, sitting for greater than 2 hours at a time. Able to manage psychosocial demands - adapting to rapidly changing demands and priorities, managing concerns/complaints and championing positive culture through respectful and collaborative conflict management.
