Role Summary As the Lead Business Central Manufacturing Consultant at Proservice 365, you will serve as the primary functional expert and project lead on Business Central implementations for manufacturing clients. You will own the full project lifecycle — from discovery and design through configuration, training and go-live. Success in this role is measured by client satisfaction, on-time and on-budget delivery, and the ability to generate referenceable client outcomes that support continued business growth. Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & Delivery · Lead full lifecycle Business Central implementations from initiation through post-go-live support, serving as the primary client-facing point of accountability. · Work closely with the Proservice 365 Project Manager to plan, coordinate, and align all project activities — including scheduling, resource allocation, milestone tracking, and risk management — ensuring functional delivery and project management efforts are tightly integrated throughout the engagement. · Proactively manage risks and escalate issues to prevent scope creep or cost overruns. · In conjunction with the project manager, develop and maintain project plans, status reports, and steering committee presentations to ensure stakeholder alignment at all levels. · Ensure all projects are delivered on time, on budget, and result in referenceable clients — fostering long-term relationships that support business development. · Coordinate and direct the work of functional consultants, developers, and client team members across all project workstreams. · Apply and champion the proservice structured implementation methodologies to standardize delivery quality. · Conduct post-go-live reviews and client satisfaction assessments to capture lessons learned and identify upsell or support opportunities. Manufacturing Functional Expertise · Lead analysis workshops to capture and document manufacturing business processes. · During the analysis phase, design the end-to-end solution by creating a comprehensive Conception Document that outlines the client's future-state business processes, along with all required configuration, setup, modules, and workflows to be implemented in Business Central — serving as the foundational blueprint for the entire project. · Present the Conception Document findings and proposed solution to the client at a formal Lab Presentation conducted live in Business Central at the conclusion of the analysis phase — demonstrating the configured environment, validating the solution design with key stakeholders, and securing sign-off. · Develop functional specifications, test scripts, UAT plans, and end-user training materials covering all manufacturing and operational workstreams. · Partner with developers and technical consultants on integrations (MES, EDI, WMS, ISVs), extensions, and manufacturing master data migration. · Support and guide clients through Pilots, cutover planning, and go-live execution. · Provide post-go-live support, optimization recommendations, and continuous improvement guidance aligned to client growth objectives. Client Relationships & Business Development · Build trusted advisor relationships with client stakeholders at all levels, from client core team members, operations managers to executive sponsors. · Serve as the voice of the customer internally, ensuring that client needs and priorities are reflected in solution design and project execution. · Identify and develop opportunities for expanded services, additional modules, or ongoing support engagements within existing client accounts. · Actively contribute to pre-sales activities including discovery calls, solution demos, Statement of Work (SOW) development, and effort estimation. · Cultivate referenceable client relationships that support case studies, testimonials, and new business introductions. Team Leadership & Knowledge Sharing · Mentor and coach junior and intermediate consultants, fostering professional development and knowledge transfer within the Proservice 365 team. · Contribute to internal best practices, delivery templates, implementation accelerators, and implementation methodology and approach. · Stay current on Business Central releases, manufacturing enhancements, ISV ecosystem developments. · Support practice leadership with capacity planning, resource allocation, and hiring input as the team grows. Qualifications & ExperienceRequired · Minimum 3 years of hands-on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or Dynamics NAV) implementation experience. · Proven experience leading full lifecycle BC implementations as the primary project lead or lead functional consultant. · Deep functional knowledge of BC manufacturing modules · Solid understanding of complementary BC modules: Inventory, Warehousing, Purchasing, Sales, and quality. · Demonstrated track record of delivering projects on time and on budget, with referenceable client outcomes. · Experience developing Statements of Work (SOW), project plans, functional specifications, and UAT documentation. · Excellent communication and presentation skills — able to engage confidently with both frontline users and C-suite executives. · Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex manufacturing processes into practical, scalable BC solutions. Preferred · Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central functional certification (MB-800 or equivalent). · Prior experience in a manufacturing operations role (production planner, plant manager, operations manager, etc.) in addition to consulting experience. · Familiarity with ISV solutions commonly used in manufacturing environments (WMS, EDI, advanced planning, shipping, reporting). · ASCM (formerly APICS) certification such as CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) or equivalent supply chain/manufacturing designation considered a strong asset. · Bilingual English/French is an asset but not requried, given our Canadian client base. What We Offer · Competitive compensation package commensurate with experience. · Flexible, hybrid work arrangement with remote-first culture. · Exposure to diverse and complex manufacturing clients across multiple industries. · A collaborative and experienced team environment that values initiative and accountability. · Ongoing investment in professional development, Microsoft certifications, and training. · Opportunity to shape the manufacturing practice.
